Systems Engineer

PURPOSE/SCOPE OF POSITION

The Systems Engineer is involved in the sales process, with emphasis on all technical issues related to the customer. This includes responding to technical questions, initial sales calls, product presentations and demos, technical discussions, designing solutions, assisting in the preparation of proposals, communication with the customer and providing input for the development of Statements of Work (SOW). The Systems Engineer will work with multiple inside and outside sales representatives to provide the necessary technical assistance in support of the sales process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop professional services product offerings
  • Assist in the development of collateral and other sales materials for professional services product offerings
  • Provide technical assistance in support of customer opportunities
  • Provide recommendations for security services
  • Design and generate solutions for the sales force
  • Develop and deliver technical proposals in both white-paper format and slide presentation format
  • Develop lab presentations for customers to demonstrate products
  • Provide assistance in the development of business proposals
  • Technically support both the inside and outside sales representatives in both federal and commercial accounts
  • Maintain relationships with the technical staff of our partners and suppliers
  • Attend initial and follow-up sales calls
  • Delivers corporate and technical presentations
  • Participate in industry conferences and trade shows
  • Respond to technical questions both in writing and orally
  • Maintain expertise in the products and services provided by Patriot Technologies
  • Maintain expertise in the information security industry
  • Supports, participate, and adhere to the quality management system as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • A detailed understanding of the clients security needs and demonstrate how our product, training, and services address those needs
  • A clear understanding of sales process and how to build a pipeline
  • Customer service
  • Data communications and TCP/IP
  • Troubleshooting techniques
  • Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention, Authentication, VPN, Encryption, Network Analysis, MS Windows, Unix

CERTIFICATIONS

  • CISSP required
  • Product certifications required

EXPERIENCE

  • Demonstrated 5+ years of technical experience with enterprise information security products, training and services
  • A demonstrated history of technical excellence
  • Experience with design and selling of information security solution
